Preserving history through book design
Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology (MIR) is a preeminent medical institution with a distinguished reputation as a leader in the field of radiology. To chronicle their 100-year history, Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology (MIR) commissioned a book that would follow the institution, from its role in the early days of the X-ray, to its current standing as an authority in clinical radiology, research and education.

Enrich worked to bring the history of MIR to life visually while extensive interviews were being conducted. A layout was designed to balance multiple levels of information, including the main narrative, sidebars, vignettes, quotes and photography. Archival materials, historic photos and personal collections were sourced to provide visual interest and color was added to monotone images through a custom color palette.
The celebrated 200-page edition, Imaging and Innovation, is in wide circulation among medical professionals. It has sparked interest in other departments to create similar publications.
